Some tips to ensure best fit:  Measure accordingly using a flexible cloth (make sure it is relatively new and not stretched) or fiberglass seamstress' tape measure (and Ladies, we all seem to want to be smaller, but when you measure your waist, measure it comfortably.  Making it too snug will result in being uncomfortable and/or dissapointed).  If you are unsure of how to measure, take the form to a trusted  tailoring shop.  Most will accommodate you, especially since we all need tailoring at some point for this type of apparel.

Chest:  Across  the largest part of the bust and under the armpits.

Waist:   To measure the waist, measure where the body naturally tucks just under the bottom of the rib cage.  For most people, this may be just above or through the belly button!  Where other people used to wear their pants, and we still do (in the ring anyway)!

Sleeve:  The edge, or point, of the shoulder down to the first knuckle on the thumb.

Shoulder:   From the edge of your shoulder where you measure for the sleeve to the middle of  the neck nape and double it.

Sleeve:  Edge of shoulder to first knuckle on thumb.

Hip:  Around the widest part of your hips/buttocks.

Thigh:  Around the widest part of the thigh.

Calf:  Around the widest part of the calf.

Inseam:  The highest part of inside crotch to floor when standing flat footed, barefoot, with legs slightly apart.  (For ordering apparel on the consignmnet site, add three inches to the measurement  for saddleseat jods).

Outseam:  Waist to the floor standing flat footed, legs slightly apart.

Head:  Around widest part of head above the eyebrows.
